Govt Considers Setting up Cottage Business Parks

A proposal has been put forward for the setting up of the cottage business parks.

On Wednesday, PM Khan presided over a high-level meeting in which the proposal for the establishment of the cottage business and resident parks was put forward.

The suggestion of establishing the cottage business and resident parks has been proposed for promoting small and medium businesses.

The Prime Minister was given a briefing that in the first phase, cottage business parks would be set up in the 10 districts of Punjab for boosting small and medium businesses, which would then be gradually extended to other districts too.

In the meantime, while reviewing the progress on the special economic zones (SEZs) in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, the PM said that the government was inclined at resolving the issues of the business community and that ease of doing business and provision of all the possible facilities to the business community were among the preferences of the government.

The PM said that the economic zones would be creating business opportunities and would help to boost the economic activities in the nation.

He asked the federal and the provincial departments to speed up the work on the economic zones and to eradicate all the barriers in this regard.
