The federal government is considering to establish nearly 1,000 shelter homes in the nation in one year’s time, as per the reports of local media.
This was said by PM Khan’s focal person on shelter homes Naseem ur Rehman in a statement. He also said that nearly 50 Panagahs have so far been established throughout the nation. He further added that a database is being drafted of all the people taking advantage of these Panagahs.
The database measure would help in determining the district-wise level of poverty, informed Naseem ur Rehman.
Back in 2019, PM Khan asked the CMs of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to make sure that no person is left without shelter.
On Twitter, he issued orders for their administrations to take immediate action for offering temporary shelters plus food for the ones who cannot be accommodated in the already existing Panagahs.
On the other hand, as per the latest development, PM Khan is to inaugurate five mega projects in Karachi tomorrow. The projects include 3 flyovers and 2 roads.
