The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved Rs 3.8 billion for the payment of salaries to Pakistan steel mill (PSM) employees.
According to the details, a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee chaired by Finance Advisor Hafeez Sheikh has approved Rs 3.8 billion for the salaries of Steel Mills employees. The employees will be paid their salaries for the current financial year. The Finance Adviser directed that the details of the arrears of the employees under the retirement plan and the report on the payments of the steel mills should be presented at the next meeting.
The Economic Co-ordination Committee also approved the removal of additional customs duty and regulatory duty on textile products under the National Tariff Policy, while a technical supplementary grant of Rs. 102 million for the Islamabad High Court and Rs. A supplementary grant of Rs. 50 million was approved. Yesterday, the ECC took the decision to pay salaries to PSM employees in the meeting and today the payment estimates have been completed and the allocation of finances has been completed.
