Govt announces to set up cattle markets in Islamabad after moon sighting

It has been reported by the media that the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) announced that the cattle markets for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha in the federal capital of Islamabad will be set up after the moon sighting for the holy month of Zil-Hajj.

According to the details, several dealers have entered the federal capital city and established the illegal cattle markets for the sale of sacrificial animals after the local administration of the city has failed to set up markets in proposed areas.

Earlier, the federal interior ministry had approved the recommendations made by the chief municipal officer to establish as many as four cattle markets in Bhara Kahu, Tramri, Rawat, and Tarnol.

It is pertinent to mention here that the local authorities have decided to take the effective precautionary measures in the cattle markets for the visiting citizens as well as the dealers along with the implementation over the standard operating procedures (SOPs) formed by the government to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus on the holy occasion.
