Usman Dar—a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs said that the volunteers of the Tiger Force will plant at least one million trees across Pakistan on August 9.
While addressing the news conference in the capital city of Islamabad, Dar said the volunteers of the Tiger Force, founded by the PTI-led government of Pakistan, will fully participate in the tree plantation campaigns on Tiger Force Day which will be observed on the ninth of the upcoming month.
The special assistant to PM said that the forest department of the country will identify the sites of tree plantation and the volunteers of the force in collaboration with the district administration will plant the saplings.
“A Tiger Force App has also been launched by the authorities to empower the volunteers of the force,” SAPM said adding the government of Pakistan has decided to reopen the registration process in order to join the force.
While sharing the details, he said as many as one million Pakistan youth have been registered under the Tiger Force and the PTI government has so far benefitted from as many as three hundred thousand volunteers.
“These volunteers have played an important role during the crisis of novel coronavirus (COVID-19),” SAPM said adding that the services provided by the volunteers were appreciated at the international level too.
