During the inauguration ceremony of the field office of EOBI (Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution) in Pind Dadan Khan, the minister announced this scheme.

Last month, the government said under an agreement that all those people who are cardholders of EOBI will be able to get basic supplies on discounted prices from all the utility stores which are state-owned.
The agreement has been signed between the EOBI and the utility stores corporation (USC) according to which the stores will provide basic commodities on discounted prices to the EOBI registered people.
