On Wednesday the federal government has announced Eid-ul-Azha holidays in Pakistan. The holidays would be starting from August 12 until August 15, as per notification.
As per the announcement made by the Interior Ministry in its notification, from 12th to 15th August 2019 that is from Monday to Thursday, there would be public holidays on the occasion of the Holy Festival of Eid-ul-Azha.
The notification further read that 17th August that is Saturday would be a working day.
Muslims throughout the world celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in remembrance of the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) for sacrificing the life of his son for the sake of Allah Almighty.
Believers sacrifice animals and distribute the meat among the poor and the needy and among their relatives, followed by the Eid greetings and festivities.
