On Monday, the interior ministry announced a nationwide public holiday on the 12th of Rabi ul Awwal.
As per the reports, a notification has been issued by the interior ministry in this regard according to which, all federal government institutions will remain closed on Friday, October 30th.
The notification read that it is notified for general information that Friday 30th October 2020 shall be a public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1442 AH) throughout the country.
On the 12th of Rabi ul Awwal, which is the third month in the Islamic lunar calendar, Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), known in Arabic as the Mawlid-al-Nabawi holiday and locally as Eid-e- Milad un Nabi.
On the other hand, the Saudi government has announced the resumption of Umrah for international pilgrim from next month. Earlier, Umrah was suspended for all international pilgrims because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
