ISLAMABAD: Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme Lieutenant General Anwar Ali has said that mortgage will be 5% on 5 marla house and 7% on 10 marla house.
Addressing a press conference yesterday with Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz in Islamabad, Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme Lt. Gen. Anwar Ali said that development of the construction industry would benefit many sectors, in April. The tax issue was resolved in the package given by the government, he added.
Lt. Gen. Anwar Ali Haider said that the fixed tax rate of the loan for the construction industry has been reduced a lot, provincial tax, property transfer tax has been reduced through the policy, now if one wants to build a house for himself, then capital gain tax on it has been abolished.
Chairman New Pakistan Housing Scheme said that if a low-income person builds a house before this scheme, it was not possible to get a loan at even 12% however, now the consumer is benefitted at 5% for a 5 marla house and 7% for a 10 marla house mortgage. Lt. Gen. Anwar Ali Haider said that a target of one lakh houses has been set for low-income people. As a result of government policy, the price of a house of 2 million will come down to 1.5 million.
