Govt Allots Rs.10billion for Youth Affairs Programmes

The government has allotted a budget of Rs.10billion for the different programs under the Prime Minister Youth Affairs Programme—PMYAP during the span of 2018-19.

As per the PMYAP official, the youth affairs program has successfully introduced a 33-member National Youth Council for empowering the youth for earning a better livelihood and income opportunities.

PMYAP have formulated a detailed plan for the Kamyab Jawan Programme under which various programs would be planned.

He also said that it is an interest-free loan scheme under which clean lending facility would be provided to the youth up to Rs.500,000, whereas subsidized loans would be given from Rs.0.5-1million and Rs.1-2.5million.

The Prime Minister Youth Affairs Programme has kept a record performance on the completion of one year, providing significant input to bring out the social and economic change for the youth in the country.

The official said that during the year 2018-19, PMYAP kept a track record of consistent performance as per the expectations by making remarkable contributions for the especially abled youth.

The program provided steps to the youth of both the remote and rural areas, transgender youth, young women, minorities youth and uneducated youth.

PMYAP has also got the plans of launching a Start-up Pakistan program of PM for engaging the youth on the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem culture.

The program has also formed a grand plan of internship for the undergraduate and post-graduate students in the country with the stipend accordingly.

They would also be introducing the PM’s Green Youth Movement for the youth to ensure clean and green environment and clubs at the national level would be started for creating awareness for protecting the climate and preserving the resources.

The core objective of the government is to bring institutional change for achieving socio-economic empowerment of youth, he further added.
