It has been reported that Jawad Rafique Malik—the Chief Secretary Punjab has decided to seal several bigger markets across the province over the negligence of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) formed by the government in the wake the coronavirus pandemic.
While briefing the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Malik said that the reports are claiming that several markets across the province are not implementing the standard operating procedures (SOPs) formed by the government to prevent the further spread of the novel coronavirus.

According to the details, the action against the violators in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi will start within a few hours.
It was also reported on Wednesday that the PTI-led federal government of Pakistan was considering tightening the smart lockdown to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
During a high-level meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, it has been decided that all provincial governments will play a pro-active role to create awareness among the people about the implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to protect the masses from the deadly virus.
