Government starts Ramadan with hours of scheduled load shedding—IESCO revealed

Its Ramadan now and the load shedding package has been announced by IESCO, the company responsible for supplying electricity to the capital territory and the parts of Punjab and KP.

IESCO supplies electricity from Attock to Jhelum and from River Indus to River Neelum Kashmir. The company supplies electricity in 6 different districts including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and AJK.

The ministry of energy has directed the IESCO to prepare a load shedding plan for the month of Ramadan 2018, the company prepared a load shedding schedule ranging from 3.5 hours to 11 hours of load shedding.

The category one which is normally urban and domestic areas will face up to 3.5 hours of load shedding during the month. While category two will face 4.5 hours of load shedding the areas included in this category are domestic/urban areas that are more congested such as city area in Rawalpindi, and Islamabad. The category 3 people will face load shedding up to 5 hours a day. The category 4 and 5 includes rural and industrial areas mainly and they will face 6 to 7 hours of lead shedding respectively. The category 6 and 7 mainly includes rural/domestic areas of AJK.
