The Mazdoor ka Ehsas Programme will be officially launched by the government on Labor Day. It is a program that is a flagship component of the Ehsas Programme.
Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting in which this decision was taken. The government measures were reviewed for the welfare of laborers.
Prime Minister addressed the meeting and said that the most important priority of the government is to protect the rights of the weak and poor laborers of the society.
He appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government in this regard. He also said that programme implementation is quite challenging and it must be focused.
The Prime Minister directed steps that must be taken to protect the rights of labors in phases. In the meeting, it was briefed that presently 115 social welfare programmes are being developed. It is a complete, detailed program to help the poor, widows, orphans, workers, laborers, homeless people, needy students, and peasants of Pakistan.
President Dr. Arif Alvi in his message on Labor Day said, “Government will do its utmost to ameliorate and improve the socio-economic conditions of workers”.
He said that day is a reminder of laborers struggle and also an acknowledgment of their importance that ultimately contributes heavily to national growth and development.
