In a recent meeting, the Minister for Energy announces that the government is working on alternate resources to produce inexpensive power supply for the country.
Minister for Energy Omar Ayub Khan talked to Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khursheed Khan in Islamabad, where he marked that the federal government will continue to assist the GB government for timely implementation of different projects.
The Minister for Energy further added that the government intends to harness local resources, especially water, minerals, and tourism sectors, to facilitate the area to make its own revenue contributing to the economic development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the source, the Chief Minister appreciated Omar Ayub Khan about the progress of open-ended energy projects in GB to manage the area’s fuel and electricity requirement.
