The newly-elected government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to implement the same schooling system for all the schools around the country, the Federal Minister for Information said.
The Federal Minister, Fawad Chaudhry said that while addressing in a press conference in Islamabad.
Due to the different schooling systems, several types of socioeconomic classes exist in our country, Mr Chaudhry said.
“The government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has also decided to ban the physical punishment in all the schools across Pakistan,” he added.
The information minister said, “The federal government announced that all the provincial governments will be urged to regulate the school fees of the private schools.”
“The government is also considering to form a special education task force which will tackle the problem of 25 million out of schools children,” he further said.
On the other hand, the Higher Education Commission has introduced 8000 free online courses for the students in collaboration with COURSERA.
Those university students who received the laptop under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme are able to apply for any course of their choice free of cost.
