Google to Launch Affordable Smartphone for New Markets

Google is planning to launch affordable smartphone specifically for emerging markets. Google has launched three generations of high-end premium Pixel devices. Now it is working on a cheaper phone that will cost less than the Apple’s affordable iPhone XR. The price of iPhone XR starts at approximately Rs 70,000.

The smartphone will help Google in its hardware portfolio according to Nikkei report. Google has recently started launching its Pixel phones but before its ‘made by Google’ phones it used to work along with different companies like HTC and LG to launch Nexus devices.

Also Google experimented with the Android One platform to launch entry-level devices in Indian market. But the Android One platform was rebranded and now it is not fixed to launching budget devices.
