Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL started receiving Android 8.1 OTA update

Google has already started rolling out the Android update to its flagships, both Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL devices are eligible to update to the newer version running the second developer preview build.

The update is not much bulky only weighs 41MB for a standard model and weighs roughly 43MB for XL model.

While updating, you don’t need to downgrade to 8.0 first, this update will bump up your device to 8.1 stable channel.

If you are running Android device other than Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL you are also eligible to receive Android 8.1 update if you are already running Android 8.0, it’s not just the case of Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Google has also released the system plus OTA files for the people who wish to update manually.

Google also has released Chrome 63 update lately which brings more security to the browser, Google has updated chrome 63 with 37 bug fixes, and the update is for chrome for business. The added security also provides isolated websites. The admins now have more control over chrome settings which are necessary for optimum security level.
