Google is Rolling Out Update to Several Pixel Smartphones

May is here and so is the update – Google is now rolling out its May update to several Pixel smartphones.

Google is rolling out the May update for its Pixel devices. The devices receiving the update include the Pixel 3, 3 XL, Pixel 3a, 3a XL, Pixel 4, 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and the Pixel 5.

Google is keeping its pace about rolling out updates to its Pixel smartphones. Every first Monday of the new month, the company sends an update to various devices. This month’s list of smartphones includes the below:

  • Pixel 3/3 XL (RQ2A.210505.002)
  • Pixel 3a/3a XL (RQ2A.210505.002)
  • Pixel 4/4 XL (RQ2A.210505.002)
  • Pixel 4a (RQ2A.210505.002)
  • Pixel 4a 5G (RQ2A.210505.003)
  • Pixel 5 (RQ2A.210505.003)

Every three months, Google rolls out the Pixel Feature Drop with exciting new features. Moreover, bug fixes are taken care of with the Pixel functional update, which is normally released every month. The last Pixel Feature Drop was sent out in March 2021, so we expect that the company would send the next update in June. However, there’s no May functional update as of now, as we have learned.

To manually check for the update, you could head towards Settings > System > Advanced > System update.
