Google is celebrating the Independence Day of Pakistan with a special doodle. The search engine is celebrating the 72nd Independence Day of the country by creating a doodle for the occasion.
This is not the first time that Google has come forward or participated in anything related to Pakistan. It has paid tribute to Pakistan and its icons previously too on various moments. Back in 2017, Google released a doodle celebrating the birth of Pakistan.
The Google doodle, in the past has also given honour to the legendary musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi and to Mehdi Hassan—the Shehenshah-e-Ghazal.
Pakistan is celebrating its 72nd Independence Day with new spirits and enthusiasm. The country is enjoying and celebrating the day with renewed resolve to work with the same patriotic spirit, which led to the formation of Pakistan in the first place, for making the country a truly Islamic welfare state.
The day began with thirty-one-gun salute in Islamabad—the federal capital and twenty-one-gun salute at the provincial capitals. Prayers were offered for the security, peace and progress of the country and the prosperity of its people.
A change of guard ceremony was held in Karachi at the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum and Allama Iqbal’s tomb in Lahore, where the cadets of Pakistan Navy performed their duties.
Special prayers were offered across the country in mosques as the day started for Pakistan’s growth, unity and well-being. Prayers for the early settlement of the Kashmir issue were also done.
