For the first time in Pakistan’s history, the price of gold per Tola has exceeded Rs. one lakh.
According to the All Karachi Exchange and Jewelers Association, the price of one-ounce gold in dollars is increased by 31 dollars and reaches 1721 dollars per ounce in the global currency market on Tuesday.
Similarly, the price of gold in sarafa markets is increased by Rs.700 and reaches the record high of 1 lakh 400 Rupees per tola and the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs.600 and goes to Rs.86076.
In addition, the silver price rose to Rs. 970 per tola after a rise of Rs.10. A sudden increase in gold prices reflect the uncertainty in global financial markets due to the Coronavirus epidemic, on one hand, Pakistan’s currency is under pressure and decreases against the dollar which affects the gold price as well as the gold prices in global markets also increasing. The two-way traffic to price increase has made it so expensive in the country.
