The Prime Minister of Pakistan—Imran Khan with the objective of controlling poverty is all ready to launch the Ghurbat Mitao Programme across the nation today.
The PM would be launching the programme at a ceremony in the federal capital. The measure was approved by the PM in a meeting with Dr. Sania Nishtar—the chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme.
Under the programme, an amount of one hundred and twenty million rupees has been boarded for lifting poverty.
In a statement, the PM Khan had previously said that the government was now taking the first significant measure towards the elimination of poverty. He mentioned that to take care of the people is the topmost priority of the government.
In a statement the Prime Minister that they would be mobilizing all the resources to eliminate poverty.
He said that the experience and the expertise of China would be followed for making this programme result-oriented.
Last year, in December the PM Khan had said that to eliminate poverty and to uplift, the poor divisions of the society were the greatest priority of the government.
Imran Khan said that the government was preparing a detailed programme that would not just assist in catering the basic needs of the poor people of the nation on a temporary basis but would also play a significant role in bringing them out of the clutches of poverty.
He had given orders for close coordination among various programmes working to cope with the poverty elimination challenges.
