Germany is looking for making an investment in the Aviation and Airline market of Pakistan in the light of the new Aviation Policy 2019.
The German officials paid a visit to the Lahore Airport also referred to as the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday and held meetings with the management of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
The German envoy included Honorary Consul General for Pakistan for Bavaria-Germany, President and CEO of Munich Airport, Dr Pantelis Christian Poetis and Dr Michael Kerkloh. Senior officials of PCAA which included the Airport Manager—Tahir Sikandar and the Deputy Airport Manager gave briefings and a tour to the Lahore airport.
The officials also noted and showed interest in the airport management, ground handling, facilitation services and passenger services.
The impact of the new fair sky policy of the government on international airlines is yet to be known however in order to endure growth in the sector, foreign direct investment is badly needed.
Germany is taken as the centre of European Aerospace and Airline Industry.
