The governing body of the Development Authority of Gwadar has given approval to the rates of fee and taxes to be imposed on the various sectors in the port city with some changes.
A meeting was headed by the Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, who is also a chairman of GDA’s board of governors, also reviewed the progress and development on the town planning and regulations about the setting up of the sector under the Gwadar Smart City Master plan.
Shahzeb Kakar, the Director-General of GDA has given a briefing to the governing body on the suggested rules and regulations and other issues regarding to the fee and the tax collection.
The Chief Minister has given directives to the GDA to take into consideration Gwadar as an international port city from the start of the construction to ensure the protection of the environment and the energy resources while the making of the high-rise buildings in the city.
The meeting directed the GDA to publish notices in the newspapers about the new housing societies for informing the general public about its rules and regulations.
It also gave directions to the authorities to start one-window operation about the licensing and the registration of the private construction companies. The construction companies were asked to publish the rules on the website of the GDA.
The CM said that all the development projects in Gwadar should be based on the public-private partnership arrangement. He also said that all the partnership with the private companies would boost the resources of the GDA.
