Samsung has kept the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 well under lock and key – until now. A leak wants to show – albeit a little fuzzy – what the successor to the group’s first folding smartphone will look like. In principle, you get a grade 20 times two here.
The first look at the Galaxy Note 20 is available
It should come as no surprise that a folding smartphone has an unconventional design. Nevertheless, last year Samsung had been sharply criticized for the design of the Galaxy Fold, which was simply described as “strange” by many people – the small external display, in particular, had caused many eyebrows to be raised, but the very large camera recess on the inside also gave cause to the question of whether Samsung could not have found another solution here.
Samsung will probably answer many points of the critics this year with the Galaxy Z Fold 2. According to many rumors and reports about the successor, the first low-quality advertising images are now available on the Weibo Chinese platform, but still allow a look at the new design. As always, such leaks should be treated with caution, but authenticity is something that the well-known leak twitter account Ice Universe wants to be able to confirm.
Like a Note 20 sandwich
If the authenticity of the image is true, Samsung has decided this year to standardize the design language of the Note and Fold series. Among other things, the same camera module can be seen on the back of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which is also shown on Note 20 images. Overall, fold 2 in the picture looks like a note 20 times two.
An answer to the question of the authenticity of the images will not be long in coming. Samsung is holding an unpacked event on August 5 and will also announce news about the Fold family in addition to Note 20.
