Galaxy Z Flip 5G is the first Samsung foldable to receive One UI 3.0 and Android 11

Galaxy Z Flip

The wave of updates released by Samsung continues that aim to bring the new One UI 3.0 interface on its main smartphones of 2020. A few days ago we saw it arrive on Galaxy S20 FE, the medium-high range proposal of the South Korean house that can therefore already count on version 11 of Android, while today it is the turn of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

The 5G version of the folding clamshell Samsung is the first in its class to receive the update to Android One UI 3.0 and 11, while there have been no sightings as far as the LTE model (which we recall is based on Snapdragon 855+, compared to the Snapdragon 865+ from 5G) or for the Fold series, especially the Z Fold 2.

The update has begun to appear on models distributed in Switzerland, but we do not expect many days to pass before the variant marketed in Italy can begin to update as well; over the last few months, we have seen how Samsung is increasingly standardizing the timing between the various markets by releasing updates at close range for all regional variants of the same model. The firmware in question carries the initials F707BXXU1CTL6 and at the moment there are no details regarding the improvements that the One UI 3.0 has reserved for the folding.

So we just have to wait to receive the firmware in order to start exploring the update better; if in the meantime you want to review again what are the features that make this series of smartphones unique, we leave you to the review of the 4G variant, since the user experience is virtually identical to that of the 5G counterpart.
