Samsung released the Galaxy A72 around three months ago with Snapdragon 720G chipset, refresh rate of 90Hz, and two storage configurations. The device received its first security patch in April 2021. And now it is time for another one.
As of now, Samsung is releasing a new software update to the Galaxy A72 that will improve its privacy and security. The update also comes with the latest security patch, i.e., June 2021 security patch. The update comes with firmware version A725FXXU2AUF3 and is currently available in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine.
According to the company, this update fixes 47 vulnerabilities inside the Android codebase and fixes 19 vulnerabilities inside Samsung’s own software.
For users with a Galaxy A72 and living in any of the countries mentioned above, you can either wait for the OTA update to arrive or manually check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
