Fourth-gen Suzuki Jimny is launching in Pakistan. Pak Suzuki Motor Company is geared up to introduce the vehicle that was initially launched in Japan in 2018.
Currently, Suzuki Jimny is available in the 3rd generation model in Pakistan. Back in 1998, the vehicle was officially launched, thus, it is a two-decade-old model. The first model was produced back in 1970.
In 2018, the 3rd generation Suzuki Jimny was internationally discontinued as the next-gen model production began in Japan.
Credible sources have confirmed that Suzuki is launching 4th gen Suzuki Jimny in Pakistan. It will be seen on the roads in a few months’ time.
The 4th gen Jimny is a redesigned model of the 3rd gen model. The 3rd gen Jimny was powered by a 4-cylinder 1328 cc petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, the new model is powered by K15B 1.5-liter 4-cylinder 1462 cc petrol engine that can produce a maximum torque of 138 Nm at 440 rpm.
According to some sources, the car is likely to be manufactured in India reported back in 2016. However, the production on Suzuki Jimny 4th generation haven’t started until now, the new reports suggest that Suzuki will begin Jimny 4th production by next year in India.
If these reports are true, then Suzuki will also launch 4th generation Jimny in Pakistan because of the similar and close market, however, it is not clear that Suzuki will assemble these cars locally or not.
The specs of the car include a clam-shell bonnet along with round-shaped headlamps integrated with the turn signals. The front bumper of the car gives it’s a muscular look as its quite prominent. As for the interior, it is quite modernized in comparison to the 3rd gen Suzuki Jimny.
