Four new polio cases reported in Balochistan, KP

According to the media reports, as many as four new polio cases have been reported in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As per the details, an infant of eight years old has been detected with the polio virus in Jaffarabad, Balochistan. Another nine-year-old baby girl has been detected with the polio virus in Qilla Abdullah, area of Balochistan.

On the other hand, five new cases of polio virus had been surfaced in the two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a single day on July 13 of the last year.

According to the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), three polio cases were surfaced in Bannu district while two other cases have been reported from Torghar.

It is pertinent to mention here that the government of Pakistan had initiated a three-day anti-polio campaign across Pakistan last month.
