Motorway police fined former Pakistan’s Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s driver for over-speeding. The police found the driver over-speeding near the Ravi Toll Plaza on Lahore to Islamabad Motorway.
As per media reports, the former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was in the car at the time his driver was fined. A challan of Rs750 was given for violating the traffic law.
A similar incident happened in 2017 when Ayaz Sadiq National Assembly (NA) Speaker was fined when two of his vehicles over-speeded on M2 motorway near Khanqah DOgran. A challan of Rs2500 was given to him.
This shows that motorway police is very fair when it comes to the violation of traffic rules. Leader, official or not you will be fined like a common person if you break the law. This is quite commendable.
