Forbes Magazine has listed the northern areas of Pakistan as the ‘Ultimate’ travel destination. Forbes has ranked Pakistan among its ’10 Best Under-the-Radar Trips’ for 2020.
The U.S. based magazine has revealed the destinations that are “off the beaten path,” and offer travelers “proper escape from every day in an increasingly homogenized world.”
According to the travel writer, Ann Abel 2020 is a good year to visit countries on the Forbes list as countries are opening up.
Forbes noted that Pakistan has become quite an attractive destination for traveling. The icing on the cake was the visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Pakistan in 2019. During their trip, they visited the federal capital Islamabad, Lahore and northern areas.
Wild Frontiers founder Jonny Bealby told Forbes, “Pakistan is perhaps the ultimate adventure travel destination. It offers ancient Indus civilizations stretching back 4,000 years, and exciting cities like Lahore with its forts, mosques, and palaces. But most of all, it offers incredible scenery, particularly in the north where the three greatest mountain ranges collide.”
Also, Bealby said that the current PTI government wants to boost tourism in the country by and providing opportunities to the people and opening doors.
He said, “Pakistan is great for trekking, mountain biking, rafting or just cultural tourism. The infrastructure has also improved, with resurfaced roads and new tunnels cutting down travel time, new luxury hotels are opening up in the region.”
Armenia, Chad, China, Eritrea, Guatemala, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Uzbekistan are also included on Forbes’ list.
