For the first time in the country, the PTI-led provincial government of Punjab has introduced paperless driving license issuance system for the citizens.
According to the details, the first-ever project of the ‘Paperless Driving License Issuing System’ is launched by the Punjab government in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board and the Central Police Office Rawalpindi.
The details shared by the officials of the provincial government said that the newly launched one-window facility will be used for the issuance of the learning driving license to the citizens without any requirement to carrying documents.
Moreover, the government announced that the license holders can also renew the validity of their driving licenses through the computerized system.
According to the details of the newly launched system, the citizens could avail the modern facility to get their learning driving licenses and its renewal without carrying photos, passport, or form.
The applicants will have to carry their original computerized NADRA issued identity cards for the registration purpose for their driving licenses besides paying the government fees.
