The Russian Ambassador Alexey Dedov has said that his country would be using the footballs made in Pakistan. He referred to the football manufacturing in the specific city of Pakistan that is Sialkot. The footballs would be used in the matches that are to be played in the FIFA World Cup 2018 that would be held in summers this year in Russia.
The FIFA World Cup-2018 would be the twenty-first FIFA World Cup—an international football tournament in which the national teams of the FIFA member associations compete against each other.
The dates fixed for the event are from the 14th of June this year until the 15th of July 2018. The tournament would take place in Russia. This would be the first world cup organized in Europe after a long break since 2006—when the tournament was held in Germany.
Thirty-two countries would be taking part in the FIFA 2018 World Cup. The winning team would be qualified automatically for the 2021 FIFA Confederations Cup.
Dedov mentioned that Pakistan is among the most known and famous countries of the world in the making of the sports equipment.
He further added that Russia is willing to extend its ties with Pakistan in other sectors too. He said that they want to boost their cooperation with Pakistan in the other divisions as well.
Sialkot is Pakistan’s world-famous city known for the making and production of world-class finest quality sports goods.
Sialkot is Pakistan’s twelfth most populous city. It is situated in the province of Punjab and is among the most industrialized regions of the country. It is a wealthier city as compared to the other cities of South Asia with an approximated 2014 per capita income of two thousand eight hundred dollars.
Footballs made by the city have long been a part of the footballing events for several years.
