Following the instructions issued by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the national TV will live telecast Tarawih prayers during the coming month of Ramadan.
As per the details, a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, through a Twitter post, said that on the instructions of Prime Minister Khan Pakistan Television (PTV) will live telecast Tarawih prayers.
Awan also advised the people to stay at home during the holy month of Ramadan and act as responsible citizens in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
It is pertinent to mention here that on April 18, a consultative session of the religious scholars with the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi in chair agreed over 20-point preventive measures against coronavirus during the prayers in the holy month of Ramadan.
As per the details, President Arif Alvi chaired the session of the religious scholars of the country via video link, who attended the consultation from the governor houses.
The government of Pakistan in the session in a conditional agreement allowed congregational prayers and Tarawih in holy Ramadan with preventive measures.
