The authorities of Pakistan’s province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have decided to change the government schools’ timings following the latest spell of a heatwave across the province.
The classes in the KP’s government schools will be started from 7:30 am till 1:30 pm during the period of a heatwave, whereas, the schedule will be changed to 8:15 am till 2:30 pm during the season of winter.
According to the notification issued by the provincial authorities, in the primary schools, seven periods will be held and eight periods in the higher education centres. On the other hand, six periods will be held in intermediate education centres.
Earlier in January of the last year, the provincial government of Sindh had taken some crucial decisions including changing of the yearly vacations and examinations and daily timing of the educational institutes.
It has been decided by the Sindh government that the summer vacations will be observed across Sindh in May and June.
