After the Indian government took a step to abrogate Article 370 of its constitution, an emergency meeting of the Kashmir-focused wing of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has been summoned on Tuesday.
The so-called secular country, India was trying to revoke Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which accorded a special status to the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).
According to the details, the session of the OIC will be attended by the representatives from Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the other countries that are the members of the organization.
As per the details, PM Modi-led ruling political party of India, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) moved a bill a day earlier in Rajaya Sabha, the upper house of the parliament, to revoke Article 370 from the constitution of India amid the protest by the members of the opposition parties.
The bill by the BJP was later signed by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind, stripping the state of Kashmir off its special status and turning it a Union Territory with the legislature.
On the other hand, Pakistan has announced to exercise all the possible options to counter the illegal move by the Indian government.
The Foreign Office of Pakistan has issued a statement on Monday which mentioned that Pakistan strongly condemned and rejected the announcements made by the Indian government regarding the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
