According to the details shared by the District Health Officer (DHO), as many as five doctors, including two lady doctors, have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a Ratodero town in Sindh.
The district health officials said that three doctors among the five are medical officers at the Taluka Hospital Ratodero, while the two lady doctors who have been tested positive for the virus were performing their duties at the basic healthcare centres.
On the other hand, nine family members of the infected male doctors have also been tested positive for the deadly virus, while the reports of the other members of the family are still awaited.
According to the details, all the infected doctors and their family members have been isolated in their homes.
It is pertinent to mention here that the country is witnessing a consistent increase in the cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) while the health professionals working on the front line are also falling prey to the pandemic.
According to the details, overall 273 doctors, 75 nurses and 171 health staff members have been infected with the coronavirus so far across the country.
