Five-Day Public Holiday Expected on Eid ul Azha 2019 in Pakistan

As per Islamic Finder, the first day of Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on Monday, 12th of August 2019 in Pakistan.

This means that the three holidays that will be given on Eid will be on 12th, 13th and 14th August i.e. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Combined with the weekend, this will make a long 5-day Eid holiday.

Eid ul Adha is the Festival of the Sacrifice. It is also known as the Bakra Eid and Qurbani Eid. The festival marks the date when Hazrat Ibrahim followed Allah’s command and decided to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ismail. As Hazrat Ibrahim was about to sacrifice Hazrat Ismail, Allah asked him to slaughter a lamb instead.
