It was reported earlier by the end of January that the SaafBath initiative will launch its first portable public toilet in Pakistan especially for Women however, the initiative got delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Now according to the recent reports, the first public toilet on the wheels is now ready to be launched in Pakistan.
According to the details the first two public toilet systems will be launched in Karachi first on September 27 and in Lahore the following month. The toilet has been designed to cater to the needs of women and disabled people as well. The initiative is being launched with the partnership of the Sindh government and the Deputy Commissioner South Karachi. The news was confirmed by social activist Salman Sufi on his Twitter account. According to Salman, it will be clean, sanitized toilets for women, transgender, disabled, as well as males.
