First Police Web TV Channel Inaugurated in Pakistan


The first police web TV channel in Pakistan has been inaugurated by the newly-appointed IG Punjab Police, Shoaib Dastagir.

He inaugurated the web channel while visiting the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) Headquarters at Qurban Lines.

Dadtgir spoke on the occasion and said that this TV channel will help in disseminating information and create awareness in the general public regarding traffic law and order situations.

A minor change in the Punjab Police uniform was approved by the IG Punjab Police.

General policing programs will be shown on the web channel to bridge the existing gap between the police and the public.

Earlier, before the inauguration of the web channel, the IG chaired a meeting in which he directed that the monitoring on the roads must be enhanced by the officers and quick action must be taken against the street criminal.

The IG Punjab realized that it is necessary to collaborate between the police and other rescue forces. The ultimate aim is to help the citizens in an emergency situation.

The operation of the Central Operational Room, Pukar 15 headquarters, and media monitoring room was also examined by the IG Punjab Police during his visit.

He was informed that over 7000 phone calls of the citizens are entertained by Pukar 15 on a daily basis.

Earlier, we informed our readers that the Ministry of Human Rights–MoHR has taken the decision of expanding the women police stations to rural areas of the country for ensuring easy access to justice at their doorsteps.
