Well, we have good news on the International Women Day for working women all over Punjab. Punjab government has announced that it will establish first of it’s kind Women Hostel Authority (WHA) in the province.
The authority will regulate hostels across Punjab. Girls who are barred from pursuing their academic or professional career due to safety issues should now feel secure.
The announcement was made by the Provincial Minister for Women Development Department (WDD) Punjab Ashifa Riaz Fatyana. In an event jointly organized by WDD and UN Women Pakistan, Ashifa revealed the establishment of WHA.
The event was held marking the International Women Day that is celebrated globally on 8th March. The theme of this year’s Women Day was of thinking equal, building smart and innovating for change.
The Women Hostel Authority development will allow women to easily access the public services and live in a safe environment. In order to provide quality and standardized services to the women living in hostels all over Punjab, WHA is being established.
The aim of the regulator is to regulate, certify and monitor the hostels and provide safe and secure facilities to the women living in hostels. Now any women who wishes to work or study won’t be stopped due to issues in accommodation facilities. Go ahead, and achieve your dreams.
