First-ever ‘Self Service’ banking on WhatsApp has launched in Pakistan by JS Bank Limited. JS Bank has collaborated with Infobip to launch this banking channel.
Infobip is a worldwide leader in omnichannel engagement and WhatsApp Business Solutions.
The service will enable the JS Bank users to explore different products and services of the bank, locate branches of the bank, ATMs, JCash agents, and to lodge any complaints.
The statement issued by the bank said the service is “completely free to use with no registration process.”

Adding, “To initiate a conversation, users simply need to send a message on +923487003000. WhatsApp messages are encrypted and the green badge next to the JS Bank name in the chat window ensures customers are engaging with a business’ verified account.”
Users anywhere around the world can access the self-serving banking channel.
The agreement to launch this Self-Service Banking on WhatsApp was signed by the President and CEO JS Bank Basir Shamsie and Company Secretary Infobip Guray Ozturk.

Innovations like chat banking on WhatsApp pave the way forward for consumers to gain confidence and trust in digital transactions”.
