It is confirmed by the British Airways that its first flight 787-8 Dreamliner will land in Pakistan on 2nd June, 2019. It will be the beginning of British Airways operations in Pakistan.
Around 10 years ago British Airways stopped its operations in the country and thus it is returning after a examining the security condition in Pakistan.
According to the airline spokesperson the flag carrier of United Kingdom will fly thrice from London to Islamabad. The fare of the flight will be £447. This will include all the charges and taxes.
After the clearance of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), British Airways will restart its operations in the Federal Capital of Pakistan and the other cities. As per the spokesperson the flights are restarting as there are ‘great improvements in the security situation in Pakistan’.
British Airways is happy and excited to add another destination in South Asia for its passengers. The spokesperson called Islamabad the cultural hub that has many attractions.
Due to a suicide bombing back in 2008, British Airways cancelled its operations in Pakistan. The airline used to offer 6 flights per week from/to Islamabad and London.
The Pakistanis living in Britain appreciated the resumption of the London to Islamabad route. The airline will not just provide comfortable services to the passengers but it will also create healthy competitions for the present airlines operating in the country.
Around 1.5 million British Pakistanis currently live in the UK. Now was the time to display a good gesture between the two countries, as per Naheed Randhawa the Chairman of World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis.
