Firing at Lahore Airport, 2 People Dead

On Wednesday morning firing was witnessed at the Lahore Airport. 2 people were gunned down. The incident occurred at the international arrival gate of the airport.

The two men who were killed landed at the Lahore airport from their holy journey—Umrah. One man was of 28 years in age—Zain Rafiq, he died on the spot, while the other man died when was being taken to the hospital.

There have been arrests after the attack. But, only one of the arrested man is believed to have opened fire. The incident took place around 10 am.

As per the Civil Aviation Authority, the attack seems to have been encouraged by personal enmity.

The airport has been sealed for automobiles and the ASF and police are at the crime scene.

The Cantt SP gave confirmation that the attacker and another man had been apprehended.

Usman Buzdar—the Chief Minister has taken notice of the incident and has asked for a report on the matter.
