The fifth case of novel coronavirus has been confirmed in Pakistan.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, Dr. Zafar Mirza stated, “We have now the fifth confirmed case of COVID19 in federal areas. The patient is stable and is being managed well. I request the media to respect the privacy of the patient and the family.”

The patient is a 45-year-old woman. She belongs from the northern mountainous region of Gilgit Baltistan, who arrived from Iran a few days ago, as per the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
A health department official said that the woman is being treated at a hospital and her family members are also being treated for the virus.
Earlier two cases of this novel coronavirus were reported in Karachi, one each in Islamabad and the federal area respectively. All these patients were traveling to Iran and caught that virus from there. In Iran, 66 people have died from this virus which includes senior government functionaries and more than 1,500 confirmed cases.
Due to coronavirus, educational institutions in Sindh have been closed. The citizens in Pakistan and generally across the world are panicked as it has affected over 80000 people, killed 3100 people and there is no vaccine of the disease.

The symptoms of coronavirus are pneumonia, cough, fever and breathing difficulties.
Mirza also tweeted, “New and upgraded thermo scanners are now installed in major airports around Pakistan. This will further improve the efficiency of our port of entries and first line of defense against coronavirus.”
