FIA Starts Crackdown against Private Schools including City, Beaconhouse and Roots

On the directives of the Supreme Court, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started a crackdown against the private schoolsdirectors involved in embezzling money under the pretext of fees.

In its interim verdict in the case of school fees hike, the Supreme Court asked FIA to take action against the CEOs, directors of the private elite schools.

A report was submitted by FIA in the apex court telling in detail the actions taken against the private schools following the court’s orders.

The Supreme Court was informed by FIA that it will confiscate the personal and account record of the CEOs, Directors, and owners of private schools. The document further read that the bank accounts will be seized of the owners of the elite private schools.

14 teams were formed by FIA Lahore to being a crackdown against top private schools. These schools include big names like Beaconhouse, LGS, Roots, and City.

Here is the complete list of the schools that are under investigation.

Earlier, Supreme Court took another landmark decision ordering all private schools charging over Rs 5000 fees to cut it by 20%. The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has also ordered the private schools to return back the extra money charged in the last two years. This includes the summer vacation fees.

Justice Saqib Nisar was told that the salaries of the owners of private schools are as high as Rs. 85,00,000. He was shocked and furious at the directors of private schools for turning education into a mere business.
