Julieth Gonzalez Theran a Colombian female journalist was reporting updates on the World Cup for Deutsche Well which is a German news station.
During her live reporting from city square in Saransk, Russia a man came out of nowhere and kissed her cheek and then went off. However, the reporter continued reporting, she finished her live link and pretended as if nothing happened. She remained professional even though she encountered such a shocking situation and that too so suddenly.
Later she shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “We do not deserve this treatment. We are equally valuable and professionals. I share the joy of football, but we must identify the limits of affection and harassment.”
She also informed that “I had been at the scene for two hours to prepare for the broadcast and there had been no interruptions. When we went live, this fan took advantage of the situation. But afterward, when I checked to see if he was still there, he was gone.”

As of yet, the man has not been identified. International broadcasters have given a warning to the reporters that there are chances of possible disruptions during the World Cup coverage.
Gonzalez Theran said, “For me, it is an isolated incident. There are always fans that compliment you and behave respectfully. This one went too far.”
