Punjab government has announced a great incentive for the female students, in order to facilitate them in commute. Motorcycles and Scotties will be provided to the female students on easy installments.
The Punjab Education Foundation Chairman Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi announced that this scheme will begin at the start of 2019. As per the Punjab Education Foundation Chairman, the cycles will be provided to the male students and travelling vouchers will be provided to the female students. To the degreeclasses and university students, scooties will be provided. To give relief tothe students, this step has been taken by the Punjab government.
The travelling vouchers would be given to the female students in FSc and Matric. The goal is to ensure that the students don’t have to spend money on pick and drop services and are able to reach school on time.
Abbasi said that in Punjab there are almost 53,000 schools and 550 colleges. In these schools and, colleges around 50 million students acquire education.
Further on, the Lahore High Court has asked the bike sellers to arrange free helmets with new bikes. Also, recommendations are given to makemotorcycle riding safe and secure in the provincial capital.
LHC Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi said, “Steps should be taken to make motorcycle ride safe.”
This step by the Punjab government will not just aid the female students but also empower them. They won’t have to be dependent on pick and drop services as they will have their own transport.
