Female IT Student In Faisalabad Develops Smart Shoes To Help Visually Impaired

A Female IT student at Government College University Faisalabad as part of her project develops smart shoes for visually impaired people, the shoes can help visually impaired people to walk smartly on the streets.

Shanza Munir IT Student at GC University Faisalabad said she had a target to help visually impaired people with the use of technology; the smart shoes will detect any incoming hurdles within the 200 cm radius in the way and intimate the wearer with real-time notification along with sound and vibration in the shoes.

It costs Rs10,000 to 12,000 to develop this kind of shoes, however, the cost could be minimized if it is produced on a large scale. Samaa has posted a video providing demonstration of smart shoes.
