Federal Govt. announces to give Rs200,000 to the labourers for daughter’s marriage

A Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfi Bukhari said that the federal government of Pakistan on Sunday announced to double the grant to the laborers under the Worker Welfare Fund (WWF) for the marriage of their daughters, ARY reports.

According to the details, the labourers will now get Rs200,000 instead of previously announced Rs100,000 under the grant.

On the other hand, the PTI-led federal government of Pakistan has also increased the death grant for laborers by Rs100,000 and they could now receive an amount of Rs600,000.

While speaking about the recent development, the special assistant to the PM said that the government of Pakistan is committed to converting all institutions of the country into the profit-making departments.

“We have already converted the Overseas Pakistani Foundation into a profit-making institution,” Syed Zulfi Bukhari added.

Bukhari further said that the measures have been taken to eliminate the corruption from its roots in one of the country’s institutions, Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).

It is pertinent to mention here that the PTI-led federal government on Pakistan on July 11 has increased the pension of the beneficiaries of the EOBI and released it soon after the Eid-ul-Adha.

As per the details, each retired employee registered with the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) will get an increased pension of Rs8,500 coupled with arrears of six months.
