In order to compensate for the educational loss which occurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Ministry of Education has decided to cancel winter vacations this year. Moreover, the ministry also declared that they are also ending Saturday holidays in all the schools which run under the federal government.
Recently, the Federal Directorate of Education received a letter from the education ministry which stated to arrange classes on Saturdays for all students to cover up the loss caused due to the coronavirus. All educational institutions were shut down to avoid the spread of the deadly virus. The institutions have been closed for the past six months.
Last month, the government announced that they are planning to reopen all educational institutions from September 15th. The decision will be finalized by 7th September. The ministry also said that if any school opens up before 15th September will be counted as a violation of the law. All the institutes have been asked to take proper safety measures and adhere to all SOPs provided by the government.
The decision to end Saturday holidays and cancel winter vacations will only be applied to the educational institutes running under the Federal government.
